Welfare Awareness Workshop
Brace Welfare Consultancy, as part of its Education & Skills Training programme, organises workshops to raise awareness among the Bangladeshi community as well as people from other backgrounds about any changes or updates in welfare benefits. These workshops aim to ensure that individuals are not misinformed or misguided by others and have access to accurate and reliable information.
Community Gathering: One Dish Party & Coffee Morning
Brace Welfare Consultancy, as part of its Community Outreach programme, regularly organises One Dish Parties and Coffee Mornings. During these gatherings, our service users bring a variety of traditional cakes and homemade bakery items to share in a friendly and welcoming environment.
These sessions are especially beneficial for our female service users who are experiencing severe mental distress, as they provide an opportunity to relieve stress, build confidence, and strengthen community engagement.
Annual Awards & Community Get-Together Programme
Each year, Brace Welfare Consultancy hosts an Annual Awards and Community Get-Together Programme to celebrate the achievements of our service users, volunteers, and community partners. This event brings everyone together in a warm and inclusive environment, promoting unity, recognition, and community spirit.
Community Visit to the Christmas Lights in Central London – Christmas 2025
During the Christmas period in 2025, we organised a supported visit to Central London for a group of our vulnerable and supported service users.
The purpose of this visit was to promote social inclusion, confidence building, and community engagement by enabling service users to experience the wider community and participate in seasonal cultural activities. For some individuals, despite having lived in the UK for over a decade, this was their first opportunity to see the Christmas lights and take part in festive celebrations.
The visit was a highly positive and enriching experience, providing meaningful social interaction and enjoyment. Throughout the day, our staff and volunteers ensured the highest standards of care, comfort, and safeguarding, prioritising the safety and wellbeing of all participants at every stage.
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to empowering individuals, enhancing quality of life, and supporting active participation within the community.
